Message from General Chairs
July 27, 2020
We hope you and your near and dear ones are safe and well.
In response to the ongoing pandemic, we have decided to organize the conference in a fully virtual mode while retaining the same dates i.e. 2nd-4th January, 2021. We took this decision well in advance considering the worsening situation in India in recent weeks, and the several predictions that the ‘old normal’ is unlikely to happen within the end of the year, making large gatherings infeasible.
Like everything else, planning early helps to execute better which we hope would turn out to be true for us too. We are getting advice from other online conference chairs, taking learnings from the collective wisdom of professional bodies such as ACM as well as our experience of attending virtual conferences in the recent months. We have also created a new Chair position in the conference organizing committee (OC) towards executing the physical-to-virtual transition in a seamless manner.
We are looking forward to working with the entire OC to host an enlightening and meaningful conference. We hope that our partners viz. sponsoring organisations will continue to support us generously as they have been doing for all these years. Finally, while we understand that gathering in a physical conference is ideal, we hope the virtual setup will enable a much larger number of students and researchers to attend this edition of the conference.
More details to come in the coming months.
