Call for Special Sessions

Introduction

The Organizing Committee of CODS-COMAD Dec'24 is excited to announce a call for special session proposals exploring the burgeoning landscape of Artificial Intelligence and Generative AI. This year, we aim to foster a dynamic and diverse forum welcoming individuals from all walks of life who are shaping and being shaped by these transformative technologies.

We invite proposals from industry leaders, NGO pioneers, government visionaries, academic researchers, students, artists, entertainment enthusiasts, and everyone in between. This conference celebrates the truly interdisciplinary nature of AI and Generative AI, acknowledging that its impact and potential extend far beyond the confines of any single field.

We are particularly interested in proposals that, Highlight novel applications of AI and Data Science across various domains, Address critical ethical considerations and societal impacts of AI, Encourage audience participation and foster meaningful discussions, Showcase diversity of thought and representation within the AI community. We have provided some format ideas. As an idea, we have given several format that you can use for the sessions in this [CODS COMAD 2024 Special Session - Formats]. You can use one of them or a combination of them for the proposal. We are also open for new formats that you may have for the special session.

Collaborative Advantage:

We believe in the power of collaboration! Proposals involving multiple collaborators from different sectors (academics, NGOs, government organizations, etc.) will receive special consideration.

Proposal Submission:

All proposals should be submitted to CMT under the relevant track at https://cmt3.research.microsoft.com/CODSCOMAD2024.
Each proposal should include:

• Title of the proposed special session.
• Name, affiliation, and contact information for all organizers and speakers.
• A brief description of the session (500 words maximum).
• Targeted audience and their background.
• Proposed format and duration of the session [max 2hrs].
• A brief justification highlighting the importance and relevance of the proposed session.

Special sessions are crucial to the success of this conference as they provide a platform for:

• In-depth discussions and knowledge sharing on specific topics within AI and Generative AI.
• Fostering collaboration and networking opportunities among individuals from diverse backgrounds.

[October 1st 2024]	Deadline for confirmed speakers and session details.
[18th-21st December 2024]	Conference dates.
