CODS-COMAD 2022 calls for research papers in two tracks: 1. Regular Research Track, and, 2. Applied Data Sciences Track. The latter is a new addition in the 2022 edition. Authors are invited to submit their papers to one of these two tracks. After carefully going through the CFPs, please see the details below, which may help you decide which track to submit your paper to. It is the authors’ responsibility to submit their paper into the appropriate track.
The Applied Data Science Track is distinct from the Research Track in that submissions should focus on applied work addressing real-world problems and systems demonstrating tangible impact/value in their respective domains. The submission should specifically highlight the group of users who may benefit from the work.
For example, if you have a question-answering system that takes as input a corpus of bio-chemical literature, then this paper would qualify for the ADS track and the group of bio-chemical engineers/researchers would benefit from the solution presented. As another example, a deployment of an app or website that helps millions of farmers keep track of market prices of various products would qualify for the ADS track, and the group of farmers/agricultural businessmen would benefit from the solution presented.
Please note that papers that do not satisfy the requirements (e.g., a research track paper) might be rejected without a formal review. It is strongly recommended that authors check out the CFPs carefully.
